TOD 1

On my first visit to NYC, I saw 42nd Street, Nine ad My One and Only. I can still remember so many wonderful choreographic marvels. The title number of 42nd Street was a sensory overload with 48 dancers tapping through the story. Anita Morris in her cutout lace slinking through A Call from the Vatican. Liliane Montivecci pulling out the eternal feather boa during Folies Bergere. Then just about every moment of My One and Only.

Hopefully, the plumber will show up to repair the bathroom leak topday.

This is what's wrong with the state of the nation today. If we had only learned what the adult entertainment of the 70s and 80s had taught us, we'd be able to pick up the phone, call the plumber's office, and someone would be there in the next minute or so. Now it's all so damn complicated.

LOL!

And likewise for pizza delivery!

BK - This is a horror story.

Where do people come up with the cojones to treat any material this way? And then to admit to their own untenable legal position by doing what they did with it yesterday? What kind of life lessons did this just teach their students?

I'm sharing this with our producer and director as a (completely unnecessary) cautionary tale. In our region we're likewise used to the occasional prominent person being liable to show up, sometimes even unannounced. And just to pass along inspiration for making the very best of the material - as we tackle the revised version in the fall.

I once saw a Forever Plaid where Jinx was the confident one, and they wrote out the audience member part and put in the Kilty Fairy.

TOD: I'm sure this one won't count, but "Jerome Robbin's Broadway" was a delight every minute.

Liking The Outsiders more than The Notebook. But “now” and “towel” don’t rhyme.

I think we're going to get some more rain as well.

And here in Tumwater, as well!  First time in a while, and it's needed!

We also have rain today.

For DR ELMORE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQCTiOYeoJo

I loved it! This may be the only documentation of this number from the original production. I saw Lansbury in a cheap facsimile of this around 1984 and it wasn't this good. Barry Kent, who plays Beauregard here was the original London Sir Lancelot in Camelot with Laurence Harvey.

Donald Saddler hasn't been mentioned. I love these two dances from No, No, Nanette.. quality is less than optimal.
