Tuesday...la-di-da, la-di-da.

Slept very well, had some rather amazing dreams, and no, I shan't discuss them.

Gosh!  I haven't used "shan't" in decades!  And now it just pops out in an HHW.com post.

My day yesterday was fraught with excitement (another word I haven't used in a very long time -- "fraught").

I picked up my mail, took a trunk load of disposables to the recycling center, visited my local optometrist to have my glasses repaired (one of those nose thingies had broken off), made an appointment for two weeks from now, then drove to McDonald's in Edgefield and got two quarter pounders, a large fries and a large Dr. Pepper.

Drove home, feasted, napped and the rest of the day just sort of slipped by.

I truly do not believe I can endure another day of such excitement, but it's early yet.

DR singdaw's notification that this is National Whistleblower's Day reminded me of the horrible time when Don-OLD Trump made a huge fuss about someone testifying in secret to Congress about something he had done.  Trump was furious, demanded to know who it was and thought the "whistleblower" anonymity that was Congressionally sanctioned should be done away with.

Don-OLD has passed his expiration date.

The plumber, whose name is Brian, has arrived. Annabelle and Stella have been helping him. He has two cats Bandit and Sansa.

The first thing he did was turn off the water in the building. Then he and the cats went to work.

The leak is repaired and the plumber's visit took about 30 minutes. I can think about doing the laundry tomorrow.

Willow, left, with Bear, right.

We had to give Willow up on that terrible week 9 years ago when we learned that the DH was losing his job AND the house where we were renting had been sold and we had to move out. Not a time I look back on with much fondness. But we are in a better place now.

I am glad you are in a better place now and hope you found a good home for Willow to give you comfort.

$20 an hour for this is too good to pass up.

Not bad.

A friend’s 16-year-old cat, Evie, could use some HHW vibes. Her kidneys aren’t functioning.

Poor Evie.  Sending vibes for her, and her family.
