Got some fitful sleep. Had a weird, recurring dream in which I had a job in which I was supposed to help a catatonic boy. He was in a car and not moving. I could not move him but I had to wait until he asked for help. His sister was outside the car and wailing for her brother to be helped. The car was apparently parked outside a child welfare office. The boy waited until about an hour after it had opened to ask for help. He had been caned across both hands, leading to his mental state. The father could not understand that he had done anything wrong, even when the kids were taken from him and a judge admonished him that his actions, while supposedly legal, had such dire consequences. The girl was also having nightmares as a result. The father was asked to give the kids up for adoption, which is about when I woke up.

TOD:

Irritants include the MISpronounciation of "mischievous".  It is THREE (count 'em 3) syllables only.  No alternative pronunciations exist...except in people's minds.

I find that texting on my phone is a major challenge when it comes to letters, but it's not the "t's" that get me.  I can be typing and "sddnly, ll my vwls" seem to vanish even though I know I typed them.  It is very "rrttng"!  (that was "irritating" without the vowels).

As for the missing "t's", I notice that many people talk in a way in which they do not prounce the "t" making the words seem choppy.  "Oh, I live in ManHA-en" is an example, in addition to "First, you BUH-en your shirt...".  I expect its a path toward a shift in speech patterns influenced in many ways by Ebonics and Valley speak, etc.

I slept very, very well.

Dreamed weird dream.

I dreamed I was in a "Polders" program.

I had no idea what it meant, but everyone involved in carrying it out were fervent about it.  When was the last time you were "fervent" about anything?  I digress.

It turned out that Polders was a program in which older people, who were in stasis, changed places with younger people who went into stasis.  I never figured out why it was called "Polders", but it must have been "programming olders" or something.

Too weird.

I was ploughing through various pages on Amazon and found out that John Wilson has done a complete recording of "Carousel".

As it stands, only selections are available for streaming on Amazon, but I listened to Nathaniel Hackmann's masterful "Soliloquy" -- absolutely the finest version I have ever heard.  He acts it and sings it, and it's beyond wonderful,

It will be on the Chandos label when it's released.

I don't know if this link will work if you don't have Prime, but give it a shot:

https://www.amazon.com/music/player/albums/B0D94TX6GS?marketplaceId=ATVPDKIKX0DER&musicTerritory=US&trackAsin=B0D94S541V

Hackmann's voice is a miracle!  I thought him exceptional on "Oklahoma!", but this one gave me chills.

So tomorrow morning, I'm going to meet Marko, pug's husband, at a local U-Haul rental place and rent a moving truck so that we can empty the (now former :'( ) OlyTheater performance space at the Capital Mall.

Vibes the move goes well.
