I slept rather well. Thatch stayed with me all night, Stella stopped by for a moment, and Annabelle preferred to sleep in her bookcase aerie and only jumped down to the bed around 5:30.

Not much is happening here today. I need to call my lawyer, who's retiring, and set a date with her on Thursday to pick up the legal things she's been holding onto for the past 30 years and sign a new living will. I signed one 30 years ago, but neither she nor I knows where it is! So, a new one, and that will wipe out my bank account for the next two weeks until Social Security arrives.

Please, dear God, send work soon.

Driving home from the meeting yesterday, I got very sick.

One bit of detail: While under the spell of the PERFECT presentation of NxNW yesterday, I renewed my 50-year love affair with the "Act 3" part of the score. Starting with the hospital scene, throughout the Rushmore sequence and right to the end, including the reprises of the main theme on the monument, the score and orchestration are absolute magic. For my taste, the best of the best of the best.

Yeah, we're ten degrees down tomorrow. But Wednesday is indeed cooler still (high of 70???), then it's up and down through the 70s for the rest of the week.
