Regarding the 40-lb litter box, I see so many seniors who could use a bit of help. It might be cleaning or errands or a ride to a medical appointment. Simple things. I’d really like to see a service where college students or others could help out. I’ve thought this many times.

Thank you. We have lots of quakes, but most don’t do any damage — unless you’re very close by.

Jane, you had cataract surgery on one eye, is that right?

I did, on the right eye last Wednesday.  The left eye will be done this Thursday.  At the moment I have mono-vision.  After Thursday only distance vision.  I am hoping my follow up visit to the doctor on Friday will show my 20/30 vision in the right eye has improved and that my left eye is just as good.

Thank you Jeanne.  Because I don't need to wear my glasses with the lens removed it is not nearly as bad as I expected, and has given me time to get used to the fact I won't have close-up vision anymore.

Yup, or good reading glasses.  It sure is nice though to see without thick glasses that were always falling off of my face.
