Well, it's a Sunday once again.

No, wait. Not Sunday. It's only Saturday!

And thank gawd it's REALLY only Wednesday, even if it doesn't feel that way at all. You see, Kristi and Nathan are leaving for Providence, RI, where she participates in an annual H.P. Lovecraft festival, so right now we're all here and that immediately makes it feel like a weekend.

It's also a damned good thing it's only Wednesday because I have this big student recital looming this weekend. Lordy, let's not get to that too soon. I've still got work to do on it. Got a lot done yesterday, but there's plenty more.

BK:  I am curious to know if the A/C man has ever suggested to you that your house would not take so long to cool down if you kept your thermostat set at a maximum temperature.  To wit, set it at 75 degrees.  Any time it gets warmer, the A/C should kick in.  Otherwise, it won't be running full time.

When I lived in Indianapolis (in the olden days), there was a day before my folks were going to visit me when the outside air was really fresh and nice breezes were blowing.  So, I turned off my central A/C and opened all my windows to freshen the place up.

What I didn't realize, however, was that when things heated up, turning the A/C back on did not cool the apartment as quickly as i hoped.  My folks visited for three days, and it was rather warm and uncomfortable all three days with the A/C going full blast.  Management later told me it takes a long time for apartments to cool down, and they would not recommend doing what I did again.

Of course, that was in the early 80s and A/C units are more efficient nowadays.

Meg Foster. Never really superb, was she ever?

As Hester Prynne in a TV version of The Scarlet Letter.

Nice gaslighting, DR ChasSmith!

Speaking of gaslighting, last night BK wrote: "I was reading an article earlier and there was a brief mention that I do not care for page seven."

Maybe this "I do not care for page seven" situation has been a result of some form of internet gaslighting, that unnamed people on the net have been insinuating that BK does not care for page seven as if it were a fact, so BK started to believe it himself?

It's a theory.

My question for ASK BK DAY?  Is there an actor or actress in film or television that you have a hard time understanding when they speak?

For me - there are two actresses from the 60's that I have never been able to figure out  what they are saying:

Claudia Cardinale and Genevieve Page.

Rodzinski, looking back over the details, that whole "Killing Me Softly..." songwriting saga seems like it may never be resolved.

People may conceivably have said what they originally said to provide a more interesting story.

Would a combination snack of cheese crackers and chocolate work?  Maybe some form of trail mix?
