I have seen this quote before
"I voted for the man who gave up his wealth for my country, not the man who gave up his country for his wealth."
Until just now I always thought it was promoting Biden, not Trump.
What was the context? It sounds vaguely like GOP MAGA double speak, ignoring the fact that Trump cost the country a bundle in personal expenses. Yes, he gave up his salary, but he required the government to pay full Trump rates at all his properties for the Secret Service agents plus his own family's expenses.
There is nothing magnanimous about Trump.
