TOD: I can't think of any jobs I've had that I really disliked. I guess I'm fortunate. I really like the job I have now.

It would seem that I allowed myself some extra No-Labor sleep this morning.

BUT...  in fact, I awoke at 3:30 a.m. to use the necessary, returned to bed, and promptly laid awake for TWO AND A HALF HOURS, brain on high speed, totally unable to fall asleep. So when I finally did, with the usual expected crazy dreams and all, I at least sort of made up for that.

This past week was particularly insane for all of us here at the house in varied and sundried ways, so we pretty much VEGETATED these past two days, and we're VEGETATING today. The weather Saturday and Sunday was absolutely dismal - not too hot or cold, but still very humid and always on the verge of rain. The word I use in such times is:  dank.  It was dank.  Trust me on that.

It suddenly cleared up late yesterday afternoon, and all of a sudden it looked like, and felt like, a nice holiday weekend. And today is a beauty. It seems that the hot/humid weather spell here has been broken. Yes, I've said that before, but our local weather guy says that has indeed happened. So we'll see. In the meantime, we'll take it easy the rest of the day, grill something later, and then it'll be time to jump back into the fray tomorrow.

Worst job…I think you all know I spent 12 year in slavery, too brainwashed to get out. Thank goodness for my co-worker that insisted I submit my resume to an employment opportunity she found. The spell was broken and I was released.

THANK GOODNESS!

I made it to Mt. Pleasant, Texas. The motel was cheap and it’s awful.

Sorry.  We have stayed in a few awful motels.  They aren't worth the money.

But I slept.

That is more than I ever did in one, so maybe it was worth the money.

Thank you, all, for the travel vibes. It rained, sometimes very heavily, for a long portion of the drove yesterday. That and road construction made it longer than it should have.

Vibes today is much, much better!

I'm up, I'm up - maybe seven and a half hours of sleep - can't remember when I got into bed, but I slept soundly.
