...And as much as I am very tempted to wait in line again today for Two Gentlemen of Verona, I need to get things in order here at the apartment before I head down to Charlotte tomorrow morning.  In other words, I'm doing laundry.

:-\

But we'll see where my whims take me today.

I'm up, I'm up.

Will have to be on my way shortly to the Burbank Airport.

Let's hear what you think of Stages/Together Again, yay or nay.

Let's hear what you think of Harvey Schmidt.

Perhaps Jose's travels will take him to the Rewind site - just to have a look.

If I could get Mr. Mark Bakalor to do it I would.  But, it's in today's notes, and hopefully everyone from this here site will at least check it out - although of all the people posting today, only a handful acknowledged that they'd visited it.  For example, dear reader Jose didn't mention visiting it.

I visited, I purchased AND got to hear "Getting Away With You" when the site came up - not bad for a first thing in the morning adventure!

I think at the very least that Jose will "get" the excerpt - then again, he may not.  Only The Shadow knows.

I got the  most totally weird "email" from paypal saying that i had changed my email address.

The weird part was that there was this whole bit in the message about not clicking on links, and fraudulent emails, BUT THEN IT SAID TO ONLY GO DIRECTLY THROUGH HTTPS: // WWW .PAYPAL. COM.

notice the httpS.

How much do I NOT want to be at work today? So much that I can't even think of how much I don't want to be here. I'm tired. I walked from the Delacorte all the way to Carnegie Hall to catch the train - about 30-35 blocks. I only walked about 5 of those blocks through Central Park. Everyone knows you don't walk through Central Park at night and by yourself if you value your life. I will say, though, there was an absolutely GORGEOUS view of the skyline all lit up over the big pond. I wish I had my camera with me. I'll have to go back and get the shot later.

I want to go back to bed...

Well... Those phishing e-mails are always out and about lately, unfortunately.

The biggest tip off to a fake one, is if it addresses you as Dear PayPal Customer - rather than using your name.  I always forward them to spoof@paypal.com (or @ebay.com).

And, yes, they have gotten "smart" about telling you to go to a link manually.

*And whenever I get one of those e-mails, I always check my PayPal account just to be safe.

Ohh... I thought you were going to grab the C or the B at 81st and Central Park West, and take it downtown a couple of stops, then transfer there...

But it was a gorgeous night for a walk.

I need to listen to Stages when it is nice and quiet and I can pay attention to the lyrics, and I think I need to read the book first.  Listening at work is not working out since I can see Iam missing stuff.  It sounds great but Ihave no idea what its about because I cannot pay it proper attention.

This one freaked me out.  Because they tell you to go to https, with the exact site. I can't believe that paypal cannot close down that site. I feel bad. Because I'm sure a lot of people will be fooled by this one. And yes i forwarded the message.

I like the REWIND site.  Very clever, I like the way the excerpt comes up to be read.  The cover is intriguing.

The excerpt is fun - it lets you know exactly what you're in for....maybe.  Where could this lead?

Of course....maybe the song will grow on me.

DVD: The Undead
VCR: Spartacus
CD: I'll Be Back Before Midnight Soundtrack

Does the SECOND volume of I MARRIED JOAN include the episode about the moosehead?  And the episode where she gets her arm caught in a mannequin's leg?

I can't talk about last night.  It was the WORST experience I have ever had onstage....and I have been in some bad shows.

I am mortified and homogenized and citified and modernized.  And I have to do it again tonight.  I just wish I could apologize to the audience and tell them "sorry."

Fingers crossed that he looks at his script today.

I just can't talk about it.

Saavy New York  DR's... Do I want to take the Vixter to see Michael Ball in Patience at the City Opera? (She loves The Mikado or The Pirates Of Penzance)

If yes, is it worth the price for the 1st ring  or 2nd ring seats or  are all the seats good?

I'm sorry the show didn't go well.  I hate problems like this that are totally out off your control... maybe you can distribute cue cards to the folks in the front row.  You can tell them it's a new interactive project that you are trying.

I don't think there's a huge difference between 1st and 2nd Ring at the State Theatre. Now, 4th Ring - that's a whole other bag of hair. I think either of the first two rings would be swell, though I'll be honest - I'm not a huge fan of the State Theater for musical/opera performances. The place was built to muffle the sounds of pointe shoes on a dance floor, which doesn't work too well when people are trying to sing. The sound in the 4th  Ring is awful - and you might as well be in a football arena for all you can see up there.
