Forgot to say, yesterday:

$2.89

A slow downward trend, and it's been holding at that for several days.

Aid $2.39 at Costco last week.  Some have gone back up in the last day or two.

I think in ninth grade English, we read 40 books over the course of the year, everything from To Kill a Mockingbird and Animal Farm to Pygmalion/My Fair Lady and Romeo and Juliet/West Side Story. We were given a choice of Dickens (Oliver Twist, David Copperfield or Great Expectations) and a modern classic (On the Beach, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451). We had to pick a classic (I chose Portrait of Dorian Gray) and a play (I chose Cyrano). We also read Plato's Dialogues and Ecclesiastes, poetry (Auden's Age of Anxiety), and who knows what all else. Jane Eyre was in there too.

I would have loved that class.

And the kids on the bus in Camp.

Was just last night showing the kids a couple scenes from Camp. A most excellent Turkey Lurkey Time.

I love that movie. I knew Anna Kendrick and Robin de Jesus were going to go far.

Definitely a rare time with Kendrick where I felt like I spotted a STAR.

Watching a Soviet film called Brief Encounters. It’s dreamlike. Like the visuals, undecided about whether I like it.

Back from a breakfast at a jernt I haven't been to in a while, the Magnolia Diner or something like that - once the hottest breakfast spot in town. Wasn't sure I'd get in but the parking lot was completely empty. Parked and the jernt, like the parking lot - a ghost town. Had a bacon and cheese omelet with some home fries - not great, not terrible.

Came out to a totally flat tire - front driver's side. Must've done something to it recently, I suppose. Of course, no gas stations actually do that sort of thing anymore and I was five miles from the home environment. I decided to chance it and I guess Mercedes makes a very sturdy car because I made it to the tire place that's just a stone's throw from me - half a mile. Didn't hurt anything and the tire wasn't even trashed. Whew!

Got two, while I was there - the other two were fine. They changed them out pretty quickly and then I came home.

Heard from the club - we're still very light for tomorrow night - we do usually get some walk-ups so hopefully that will happen but we've told the cast they can comp some cover charges and hopefully we can add thirty to what we've got and then we'll be fine.

Couldn't ask for a starrier cast so I don't know what the deal is with this one.

Our anniversary shows have always done well in the past. A few of our regulars were out of town.

That sounds great!  A standalone song, or a new project?
