Tonight's our first performance of the new season. My wife and I will be singing in a Schoenberg recital-lecture series in Berkeley. Our chorus will sing Friede auf Erden and Dreimal tausend Jahre. We'll actually sing each piece twice, with a lecture and examples in between. I've never done something like this before. Friede is a gorgeous romantic piece of early Schoenberg, while Dreimal is a late serial piece.

Yesterday a friend was telling me about the Nova tuning app (alas, only available through the Apple store) which offers myriad and custom tuning schemes. He uses it to tune his harpsichord, but you can use it for a variety of situations.

DR George that is a lot of calendars to have saved.  I used to save most of my wall calendars.  Now I just save a few.  I write in them and sometimes I transfer information incorrectly so I like to be able to double check my info.

Yes, I do collect things other than keychains...but at least I have only saved the Futurama calendars.

I have been letting go, or reducing my collections.  Calendars take up a lot of room in a drawer.
