Jose Ferrer is good. The first 20 minutes were excellent. Sets and costumes are fine. I just wish Huston hadn’t given the movie a plot. It would have been nice to see what a Robert Altman could have done with it.

I'm back from Spitfire, and it is a lovely production. Tomorrow night's their closing, and they said I saw a really good one. I love the score and would welcome the chance to do it sometime.

Nowhere is there a credits list. No authors, but there is an author's note. No list of director, orchestrator, set designer, nada.
