DR FREDDIE I really like your avatar.....in case I haven't said it before.

Thanks, Jrand.

It was the look I had when Walter Willison suggested (at dinner with BK and elmore, so there were witnesses to this) I try to get seen on places "like SNL" to potentially Susan Boyle.  And BK and elmore had to explain to Walter that telling a guy he could play Susan Boyle would not necessarily be seen as a good thing.  And Walter went on "But he could do it.  Just little zhuzh with the hair, you wouldn't even need a wig." (I'm paraphrasing.) :). Walter was definitely trying to be helpful.

Sunday morning greetings!

I happen to love Jean Smart’s SNL monologue from last night:

That was great!

Has anyone seen The Hunger Games movies?

I haven't.  I did download the first three books in a set from the library, but I never read them. ::)

I was gifted with a four-film box set.

That's pretty cool!  Hope you enjoy them.

"Rose's Turn" is a bitch! The full score often has two different orchestrations of the same material, the bar count between the full score - which seems to have been orchestrated in sections - and the vocal score is often 1-2 bars off, and God knows what's going on at times harmonically. On top of that, I've got Annabelle and stella wanting my attention. I had to take a break.

That is so fascinating. And it's always been a fascinating number anyway. Please tell us more when you, uh, figure it out.  :)

Ditto and Ditto!

I am exploring becoming part of a postcard writing group to persuade people to vote in the upcoming election.

However, in this particular action, the minimum required commitment is 200 postcards, and you supply the postage. So an investment of cash and time.

But it is very important.

I thanked my sister and her husband for the gift of the movies. I have some binge watching to do.

Byt first there’s another John Huston novel adaptation leaving Kanopy this month. Watching Casino Royale, which I have somehow missed all these years.

I'm up, I'm up - I was up once during the early morning hours, at four-thirty - went back to sleep at six or so and slept until noon, so probably seven and a half hours of sleep.

Food has been ordered from Daughter's Deli via a 40% off thing from Uber Eats for three orders. Today I'll be having the Turkey Papa - the turkey version of the pastrami - so turkey, Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and 1000-Island dressing. It's a very nice sandwich and light, calorie-wise. For the side, it's cucumber salad. If I need a snack later, I have some wheat thins here.

I still don't understand what the orchestras have been playing for all these Gypsy revivals here and overseas and everywhere for the past thirty years?
