I just come here for the novelty coffee mugs and their trenchant commentary on the little ironies of everyday life.

And speaking of Jed, he will be directing a production of Into the Woods at Evergreen Playhouse in Centralia, Washington, and I will be the stage manager for that! :)

CONGRATULATIONS, DR George!!

Thanks, Singdaw!

DR George, I am sorry I did not wish you a successful opening last night. I hope the run goes smoothly.

Thanks, Larry!

It went pretty well.  The audience certainly seemed to enjoy it.  I had a couple of missed/incorrect cues because, well, the actors somehow jumped two pages! :o

It's been a good morning. Ann came to visit and told me all about her mother's funeral. Jen is away for a few days but she sent apologies through Ann about not helping me yesterday.  Then I finished "Gotta Have A Gimmick" and "Dainty June and her Farm Boys." I still have the Broadway sequence to do, but I'm not sure I will finish it tomorrow.

I was following along and then all of a sudden they were in a different spot!  One of the characters didn't get introduced to the Inspector, but the actor who played that role had the presence of mind to introduce his character, so that was a somewhat smooth moment.  But otherwise, it was a good show and everything else went well.

That's exciting, George!

Thanks, Freddie!  I'm definitely looking forward to it!

As I worked this morning, I listened to my 4-CD set of Collected Songs of Victor Herbert, which I haven't listened to in maybe 6-8 years. You may remember that we recorded it in a zillion sessions between Sept. 2010 and Feb. 2011, and arranging schedules of various singers was working my last nerve.  It was hell.

Still, it came out very well, and I'm really proud of all the singers, including our DR singdaw, even the one who a year later stopped being my best friend. My beloved Rebecca Luker sounds so fabulous and she still breaks my heart with her "Indian summer."
