The first potato disappeared.

TOD: We get a few trick or treaters, not as many as when we moved in, so we're ready for them. I dress up as Steve Jobs (black mock turtleneck, blue jeans, New Balance shoes) but nobody gets the joke except me.

One Halloween, when I was living in the first apartment I lived in after moving out from my parents, I wore a Hawaiian shirt, plaid shorts, a straw fedora hat and I had my Polaroid camera (with many film cartridges).  I was a tourist!  I took pictures of the kids and, in addition to the requisite candy, I gave the kids the Polaroid pictures of them in their costumes!  They loved it!

Definitely!  And since it was an apartment complex just a couple of blocks from the Tumwater police, everyone felt pretty safe.

I think these are probably the last cookies I am going to decorate. I have never been good at it, and it hurts my back after a while. The kids do love the cookies; adults won't take them.

I have an ootleg-bay audio recording of a Japanese production of Pacific Overtures, a Swedish radio broadcast of A Little Night Music, and the French DVD release of the movie version of The Phantom of the Opera, which has, if I remember correctly,  the only French language version of the score.  There has never been (so far as I know, at least), a French production that has recorded a French language cast album.
