George just up and disappeared.

No, I didn't.  I was in the middle of typing this post:

George is probably eating a burrito.

Nope.  Today, I drove one of the actors to the show and then back to his car downtown where he is rehearsing another show.  On the way home, he wanted to drive through someplace and we went through Popeyes.  He got some chicken tenders, and I got a Ghost Pepper Chicken Sandwich.  It was fairly spicy, and not too bad, but it was kind of dry...not enough sauce on it. :-\ I'll try it again earlier in the day rather than late at night.  That might make the difference.

I had some ghost pepper wings when they first started the ghost pepper stuff - way too spicy for the likes of me.

Completely forgot that clocks go back an hour. Thought it was two, but it's one. :)

I slept terribly. I could not submerge my rage over the murders of a squirrel and raccoon. I trned off the lights around 9:45, then spentr the next two hours weeping, cursing, and wondering how this mess occurred.

What I do not understand:
      1. Mark had been posting Peanut videos on Facebook and Instagram for over five years, first in Brooklyn, then at the animal rescue farm over a year ago; no one ever checked u[ on his owning a "wild" animal or offered advice on how to proceed?
      2. DEC claims there were "numerous" complaints over the animals' treatment; how many were local and how many were from outside the Pine City NY area?
      3. Why wasn't Mark contacted, spoken to over the situation, and allowed to make whatever adjustments, etc? The farm surely has a vet who could have helped in some way.
      4. Why weren't the squirrel and raccoon put into observation for signs of rabies rather than killed outright?

So, on top of that, I couldn't stop thinking how I'd feel if some NY City bureau decided to raid my apartment and apprehend my babies. At some point after midnight I finally dozed off, but it was a terrible night.

I agree, though a tad repetitive.

Then, some time after 2:00, I think I had a visitation with my late friend Bruce Pomahac that really spooked me. I still don;t know if it was a dream or a spectral occasion. We talked about the new John Wilson recording of Carousel. I like some of it very much, but I hate his conducting of the Carousel Waltz and the Hornpipe that follows "Blow Hugh Blow Low"; both are two fast.

I slept partially all right, partially fitfully, and woke way too early for a Sunday morning when we’ve just been handed an extra hour.

Which is simply more proof that you can’t win.
