Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of both Thanksgiving and teeth, and now it is time for you to post until the Thanksgiving cows come home.

We were going to keep them home but it’s a “hot lunch” day and they didn’t want to miss.

After school we’ll go to Vancouver for a nice meal and stay at a hotel.

Can you take then to school just for the lunch, then bring them back home? ;)

I have, apparently, had sufficient sleep since I've been awake since about 4:30 a.m.

Nothing particularly on my mind other than a hot cup of coffee and gathering things together for my drive northward with Sharon Wall and Butch Bledsoe, the latter being my first cousin and the former being his longtime fiancee (they don't plan on marrying.  Both have been, Butch twice.  They are happy as they are, so that's what matters).

We are going to the home of Butch's daughter Ashley, where she lives with her husband Clay and her son (by another marriage) Anderson.  Clay has three sons, also from a former marriage, and they will all be there with girl friends and guy friends, as well.

Such fun!  A 90-minute drive starting at 10 a.m., and a 90-monute return starting at 3 p.m.   Oh, yes:  It will take me 30 additional minutes to drive to Sharon's house and 30 minutes to drive home afterward.

Long day, lots of travel, great food, convivial company...and a weekend in which recovery will be mandatory.

And, oh, joy!  I have a Monday colonoscopy, the preparation for which begins Friday (with eating only soft or liquid foods) and the mandatory nasty prep liquid starting Sunday afternoon.

I can top that with a Tuesday two-week cataract surgery post-op visit and can crown it with a Wednesday medical appointment in Aiken.

Outside of my Dec. 12th cataract surgery for my left eye, that should be IT for the year.

BK, did you get an A1C number in your report? Probably called hemoglobin A1C or something like that.

My DH's favorite food group was "Sugar," which finally caught up with him a couple of years ago. He gave up all carbs except fruit. Fruit is ok because it is a complex carb.

So no soda, chocolate, sugar in coffee or tea, pasta, potatoes, or bread.  But he ate LOTS of fruit.

His numbers came down nicely.

He drinks Good Earth Iced Tea now, instead of soda or iced tea. I think it's too sweet, but he loves it. No sugar, just sweet spices.

I pulled something stuupid when I dressed around 5:45 this morning. Several years ago, I purchased several pairs of clark shoes at a good price, but I've only worn one pair for the past couple of years. I decided it was timer to wear a new pair and toss out the old faithfuls. There are only two problems: I cannot get both shoes on my feet and my legs and joints are too stiff and crippled for me to remove the one new shoe. I sent a text Ann and Jen, who are off to see Wicked this morning, that I needed help.

Ann just called; they will come to my aid before they leave for the movie.

Speaking of Wicked, my friend Canadian playwright Brad Fraser (Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love) just gave Wicked a rave review on Facebook. I guess Winnie Holzman has put back into the screenplay much of the book's political plotliones, so that makes me very happy.

DR Jrand74, I finished Grover's bio last night. I have never in my life heard one story about Jerome Robbins that wasn't about how horrible he could be. Shortly before Robbins' death, I ran into him at a NYC Opera performance. Much as I loved and admired his work, especially his heartbreaking ballet Dances at a Gathering, I wanted to tell him how much I admired him, but I was too afraid to approach him. I thought Grover's book was a very fair and kind portrait of Robbins.

Also, Dona D. Vaughn, mother of my goddaughter Charlotte, was one of Anita Morris' best friends. They met in Jesus Christ Superstar and Seesaw.
