The hosts of Thanksgiving #1 yesterday did want want to mess with the carcass, so I am up from a nap and making turkey broth.

I am consoling myself with pumpkin roll, coffee chip ice cream, and Heath toffee pieces.

Oh, OK, that helps make up for no See's.

It sure did :)

DON'T MESS WITH THE CARCASS - sounds like a possible title for the movie based on that "Baste Motel" cartoon that's been going around on the internet (with a turkey in the Janet Leigh role)

We're watching the season finale of the British Baking Show.

For some reason, I wasn't able to avoid seeing on the net who the winner is.  (the episode had appeared in the UK several days ago.). But it's surprisingly still enjoyable even knowing the winner in advance.

Nice! I am known to haunt the church kitchen and beg for the hambone after a potluck sometimes.

Back from mail - which they hadn't put out yet, and picking up one small package, and then Gelson's, who had no good lettuce for the salad bar and no creamy tomato soup (should have gone to the good Gelson's), so I got two slices of turkey, some stuffing, and some minestrone soup.

I keep finding baking projects for DR Laura.

Behold, the "melting snowman" cookie:

Those are really cute!

But...are they attached so that it's technically one cookie, and just the equivalent of three cookies tall?

Or, can you unstack them and eat them one at a time, or even mix-and-match the layers?  Whichever way they are, I'd eat 'em! ;D

Well, back to the show tonight. A half price preview, and we haven’t the slightest idea how many people will show up. Not the slightest.

I have no plans for the day. I will probably spend it refining the sequel to Annabelle & Thatch, which I wrote in 2022, after I finished my prostate cancer radiation. Now that A&T is heading into actual publication, I'll see if there's anmy demand for a second book. I'm now just a little past the halfway mark on the second book.

A (potential) sequel?  That's pretty darned cool, Larry!

Seven years ago today, our DR ChasSmith walked into my apartment around 11:00a.m. to find a young Annabelle and baby Thatch sleeping together in DR Laura's covered bed. The war was over, and Annabelle and Thatch were bonded.

DR ChasSmith took this photo:

That's so sweet!

Watching Life with Mikey. James Lapine directs. Lots of theater people in it. Christine Baranski just did a small role. Nathan Lane, Cyndi Lauper, Victor Garber. In the background are posters for Les Miz, Yul in King and I, Tyne Daly in Gypsy. There’s a great Stephen Schwartz-Alsn Menken song, It’s Cold Enough to Snow.

I actually have that on laserdisc! ;D

I didn't care for the Broadway clips of the parade yesterday.

I haven't seen any yet.  I didn't even hear about which ones were going to be shown. :-\
