I slept okay. Annabelle and Stella slept most of the night with me. Thatch arrived around 4:00a.m., and then Annabelle crawled under the blankets to get warm. Those three cats sure take up room!

I’m actually thinking of making cookies today, specifically Mom’s Lebkuchen. I found the Santa cookie cutter and even some Santa pictures to place on them.

I will be modifying the recipe though to my tastes. No candied orange peel either no waxy citron. I’ll use citrus zest and dried fruit instead.

I used to look forward to going to the movies at Christmas. The big awards contenders would open. There was excitement about a new movie like Raging Bull or Ordinary People. Even the flops seemed to have something interesting about them.
