.

Of course the first one is for Pearl Harbor.  Every school day the loud speaker would talk about Pearl Harbor Day.  I think about that every year on my birthday.

Alas, someone was out there hammering at eight - NOT the construction, just some solo idiot. And that was that. Of course, they stop once they've awakened the entire street.

So, maybe I'll do banking before the stumble-through and get that out of the way.

I like to look at old Billboard Hot 100 charts, there’s a Facebook page that links to the top 20 and the bottom 20 from decades ago. A good way to study things I missed. There was a fairly high-charting Barbra song I didnt recognize. “Coming in and Out of Your Life.” It kinda came back to me when I listened to it. I actually fell asleep listening to it on loop.

It’s a fantastic vocal performance of a complex song. Happy to have (re)discovered it.

Produced (but not written) by Andrew Lloyd Weber, recorded at the same session as “Memory.” Two new songs included on her “Memories” compilation in 1981.

I especially recall that I found her voice so thrilling on the lyrics "These feelings are so hard to find" and "I just can't get you out of my mind."

Yeah a passionate but subtle reading.

A cool thing too, is listening to it on a loop, the ending perfectly leads right back to the beginning, and it plays as one infinite(ly sad) song.

We recorded Ruthless at NRG - we shot the studio scenes for Sami there and I knew I'd been there before but couldn't remember for what. Now we have the answer.

Don't know how I missed George's reveal of the studio - somehow my eye went past it to the Bernadette post.

I have no idea what the 16 to 22nd means - we would have recorded it in one day, then mixed it in three. Don't get it.

For those who may have missed Iris' post last night, which appears to be about 90% of folks, here's the link to the recording of Ruthless video:

Caught it this morning. What an amazing document, especially to have been buried for so many years!

Now what else is out there?  :)

The information under the video says it was just uploaded yesterday, Dec 6, 2024.  I wonder if it was uploaded in memory of Marvin Laird's just having passed away.
