I liked my license plates, but in thinking about it, I just want new plates for the new/used car.

I wish I had something to say, but all my recent endeavors have been mundane, non-soul-searching, and absolutely appallingly dull.

Sigh.

Sorry to read about all your car travails, Bruce.

I do hope you got a decent insurance settlement.  It always astonishes me that when I finally have a car paid for and am happy driving it, paying for full insurance coverage all along, how little that insurance policy has to offer me when something goes wrong.  And don't the premiums just go UP even though they deny that your accident/incident had a thing to do with it.

Our ages also have a lot to do with it, even though I find the agents find ways to not say that.

I'm not sure what led me to this particular video, but I am immensely grateful to have watched it.  Disregard the headline if you, like me, don't give two hoots in hell about what Simon Cowell thinks about anything.   Still, he did like this, and it's stunning!

BK, I hadn't seen some of your Sondheim What If's before you posted them in the Sondheim parody thread in the Stephen Sondheim Group on Facebook today.  Brilliant stuff!

I had to get a replacement plate because my old plate became illegible. My new one was just awful. I let it go the next time I got a car.

The license plate on Petey the PT Cruiser is three numbers and BFF.....which is not something I chose.

The license plate on Dennis the Smart Car is three numbers and EIK....which is real estate jargon for Eat In Kitchen.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

What do you think was the most beautifully designed car of your younger years?

From DR John:

Quote
I found out that Ballet San Antonio had an amazing Nutcracker season. They filled the theater with an average of 1,400 people every performance over two weeks. The gift shop, where they sell ornaments from $5 cupcakes to $1,000 gigantic nutcrackers, racked up $100,000 in sales. Now that’s a good run.

Wow!

I seen to remember something about whoever wins the Mega Millions would be treating us all to a lovely group  theatre trek.

What date should I pencil into my calendar?

It's weird about being able to keep your license plates, though.  I've never heard of that. :-\

I was surprised we didn't keep our old plate when we purchased a new car.  You can transfer the plates yourself if you wish to do so.
