I made enough for the kids at church, plus some to give to my neighbors. And now I'll still have a bunch left over.  I will take them Christmas Eve and let anyone take them.

I expect they will be appreciated.

The little neighbor girl came over with a large cup, asking for flour.  I'm looking forward to giving them their Christmas gift of baking equipment. I'll probably need to give them more flour, too.

LOL.  You are good to them.

And I made Pizza Beans for lunch. Very tasty.

It looked tasty.  Did you use the recipe Jose put on your FB page or create your own recipe?

Richard Schoch's new How Sondheim Can Change Your Life is on the cover of The New York Times Book Review today.

Some people refer to the pads on cat's toes as "beans."

But those would not be pizza beans.

Here’s a story you may have heard from me before, but I was able to tell my full version finally after a Birmingham reporter had botched it some time ago. If you don’t want to read, you can also listen to my expanded audio version linked at top.

https://www.kates-boylston.com/american-cemetery-and-cremation/christmas-breakdown-mccalla-alabama/article_06a829f8-9ca1-11ef-8ed9-fbb26afbdb6d.html

This is a Hallmark card commercial, like the tear jerker ones years ago.  Thank you for the wonderful story.

Thank you Jane!!

I sent it to Keith.  Knowing I probably only read the article and had not listened to it, he said I needed to listen and complimented your voice.  He was right, it was even better.  I usually prefer reading vs struggling to hear every word said.  It was not a problem for me at all and it was wonderful hearing your voice.

Thank you, wow. That was my coworker’s idea, the guy who introduced me. He was like,  we should do this as a bonus podcast.

She earlier walked into the garage and caught Mrs Rodz in mid-present wrapping mode. I think I was able to convince her those were presents from family.

Oh, Oh.  I guess that is why I wrapped gifts when the kids were at school or very late at night ;D

It reminds me of the time my mother put my sister & I to work wrapping gifts.  We were rather shocked to find many of those gifts under the tree with our names on them :))

You want a NY Times  book review, write a book with "Sondheim" on the cover. You'll get reviewed AND you might even make the cover.

Chicken champignon was very good. One chicken breast. It came with mashed potatoes, but I only took a couple of bites.

Since I had Argentinian food, maybe I'll watch the original movie that the French remade one year later - The Accused.

Ginny, I am so sorry you had to cancel your plans.

Thanks, DR John G.  I took out my frustrations by kneading some shortbread cookie dough and making cut-outs.  We’ll decorate them Christmas Eve morning while listening to Lessons and Carols from England.

I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip, Ginny.  Maybe New Year's Eve.

Thank you, DR Laura.  Maybe not that soon because they’re going to see the other grandparents.  But whenever it is we have something special to do.

On New Year’s Eve 1999, while Richard and I were out, Rob (then 14) and my mother put together a Y2K “time capsule” in a large tin that popcorn had come in.  She typed a note that it was to be opened in 25 years, so now’s the time.  Rob took it to his house when we moved and we want to open it together.
