I love the idea of a time capsule, Ginny. That's very exciting!

When we sold our old church building, they removed the time capsule that was placed under the cross. One of the items inside was a note from the pastor's teenage son. He's now one of the older guys in the congregation.

When we built the new church, we placed a time capsule. In addition to a newsletter and bulletin and other such stuff, I placed a DVD and a CD and attached a note explaining what they were. Technology changes so quickly that no one will know what they are someday.

Richard Schoch's new How Sondheim Can Change Your Life is on the cover of The New York Times Book Review today.

I have a copy from the library and I haven’t had time to crack the cover.

Watching Black Nativity. It’s become a favorite of min. It’s a little simplistic, but the music is effective, and Jennifer Hudson gives a moving performance.

Nice story on Alan Mencken. Hard to believe he’s 75 already. Looking forward to the Nancy Drew musical mentioned.

Finished with my viewing - very good documentary on Callas by Tony Palmer, one of the best at these types of things. I couldn't take more than about thirty minutes of Ms. Jolie.

I think the A Broadway Christmas album came out really well and it's the one I play at all the Dos, softly in the background. I get quite a few messages from folks every Christmas saying it's their favorite. A Hollywood Christmas, while not quite as successful for me, also has some really good tracks on it.

I love them both. :)

I like Sandy’s and Brent’s holiday albums, too.

Ditto!!
