Last night we watched Pocketful of Miracles, which I hadn't seen in at least 50 years. Several Damon Runyan characters from Guys and Dolls, like Harry the Horse, made an appearance. Bette Davis was wonderful; her scene in the hotel, begging for the letter from her daughter and her humiliation were killers. The number of excellent character actors was amazing.
