I'm trying really hard to actually finish a movie, but the direction is so bad, so amateurish, that I want to hurl something at the TV.

This movie barely got released and yet they're trying like crazy to get the lead actor up for an Oscar. They just don't have that kind of money.

It's the director. And yet, the two or three reviews praise her to the skies - how stylish her direction is - no, it's not stylish at all - it's just like every other movie where there do the shaky cam crap and over-edit ever single scene. But I'll save my biggest rant for the notes.
