JUST IN: A Mandatory Evacuation Order is immediately in effect for the #PalisadesFire from:

📍Sunset Blvd North to Encino Reservoir.
📍From the 405 Freeway West to Mandeville Canyon.

This area was in an Evacuation Warning and is now an immediate Evacuation Order.

Some good news, finally:

The Palisades Fire has met effective containment lines and water drops have been successful.

Slower winds and air attack have stalled the progress on the north side as crews continue to work to put out hot spots before the next wind event.

The flare up remains active west of Mandeville Canyon Road.

The general thinking is that several of the off-shoot fires are arson. A few folks have been arrested.
