I just got back from picking up some music from someone, and it's a jungle out there with people doing their panic shopping a day ahead of the sn*wst*rm.

The grocery stores must be shouting "Eureka!" since they haven't had one of these boosts in a while.

Recently friends in England were shocked the shelves were empty and compared it to Covid.  I thought of course they are, you just had a big snowstorm ;D

I did manage to get my olive tree and a few other plants covered. It wasn’t easy in the wind. I just hope they stay covered.

Good luck.

I have too many most embarrassing falls.  The last one was my recent fall on the escalator.

People are kind and want to help me up, except immediately getting up when it hurts too much is not a good idea.

DR Rodzinski, the evil queen and her desire to eat her two grandchildren are the strange tag to Charles Perrault's telling of La Belleis Dormant. I haven't read the Perrault stories in years, but if my memory is correct, the children are conceived while the Beauty is still asleep and unaware that her rescue is also her rapist.

Oh interesting! In the kids book, he wakes her and they have the family, then the attempts at eating begin. The wicked queen is eventually devoured in a tub of snakes.

That sounds like The Marquise of O. He date rapes her, impregnates her, then woos her, but she’s pregnant and complications ensue.

I finished it around 1:00 but then didn't like the last few pages so completely revised those, then futzed and finessed the final twenty pages.

Went to see my dance instructor friend today. He was in good spirits and had decent energy. We left when he started to get sleepy. He’s doing better than I expected.

DR JOHN G I didn't realize Huxley wrote that version - I was confused.

Rhythm on the River - an earlier movie Rhythm on the Range starred Bing Crosby and was the first BIG film for Frances Farmer at Paramount.  Crosby is from Washington as was Frances.  They became great friends....and remained so for life.

In the late 1960's Crosby arranged for Frances to become a co-spokesperson for Minute Maid Orange Juice.

At the BIG final meeting one of the MM executives made the mistake of asking Frances what Tyrone Power was really like.  Frances was not amused - made an off color remark and then said:  "Gentlemen, I do not care to sell your God Damned Orange Juice!"  And then she walked out.

Good for her!

My favorite line in the movie is from Martha Raye who takes one look at Bob Burns and says:  "No matter what anyone says, you keep wearing that suit!"

Those neighbors would have used up my good graces long ago. Vibes for Bk having as few aches and sorenesses as possible today!

I would've written "Not at this address" on the package and sent it back.  I've done that a few times over the years.

I've had a few things accidentally put in my mailbox when it wasn't for me, and I've taken those to the correct condo unit, but if it has my unit number, I'm not going to try to figure out where it needs to go.  That's the job for the USPS or UPS.

Maybe we could have a photo of one of the lobby cards? Just for fun.

That would be great!
