It was supposed to get up to 46 today. It's only 41 now. I don't think it'll make it.

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook.

"On social media, one user posted: “MAGA doesn’t realize the symbolism of [Trump] moving the inauguration inside: The billionaires, millionaires and oligarchs will be at his side, while his loyal followers are left outside in the cold. Welcome to the next 4+ years.”
By the way - the weather for Donald Trump’s inauguration is expected to be in the 20s - the same as it was for President Barack Obama’s 2009 inauguration. So, why move it indoors? And the non-refunded $200 million for the inauguration that WAS, but now is NOT open to the public?
Will the theme of this administration be “thanks, suckers”?
Time will tell."

I started a new book yesterday, The Safekeep. It was shortlisted for a Booker. Written by a Dutch author. I'm not getting into it. Psychosexual drama linked to the aftermath of World War II. I don't like the characters, especially the frigid lesbian at the center of it all.

It's 37°F here right now, and is only supposed to get up to 41°.

It's 37°F here right now, and is only supposed to get up to 41°.

That's what happens when you live a mile or so north of Texas.

DoorDash wouldn't process my order - kept getting an error message - chatted with someone who clearly spoke no English and after ten minutes of THAT crap, I placed the order with GrubHub. With Prime it's the same cost exactly. I think I'll get rid of DoorDash and just use Grubhub from now on.

It's warm under the blankets and I don't feel like moving.

I don't feel like walking in the cold.

Darn.  Adjustments have been made. People have been invited to Capital One Arena, which holds about 21 thousand people, to view the inauguration.

Apparently, no one wants to see it because for streaming it's gone from 19.99 to 5.99 in one day.
