DR JOHN G it is hilarious.  It reminds me a lot of The Palm Beach Story a Preston Sturges movie

It does. Both have Mary Astor too.

Swiss cheese and onion pie. With a charred crust.

That looks like it tastes great!

I wished I had cooked some bacon to go with it.

The pie is a winter warmer winner. I added a little freshly grated nutmeg, which works beautifully.

Monty Woolley has just shown up in Midnight. And he’s stealing scenes right out from under the noses of masters John Barrymore and Mary Astor.

Re Tippi:  95 is great, but if I'm not mistaken it was reported last year that she was doing rather terribly in the dementia department. I hate saying that about anyone.

Well, actually, there are a few I'd like to be able to say it about.

We're topping out at 18 or 19 today and tomorrow, with low single digits or even negatives overnight.

I was thinking about BK's continuing saga, and my mind went to this:

I think I have a DVD of that, but I've never watched it. The only time I know I've seen it was at a festival some 15 or 20 years ago in a wonderful (small, but wonderful) movie palace over in Suffern (Succotash?), NY.

In honor of the weather, I have a Japanese double feature, the first film of which is titled Lady Sn*wblood.

I'm hungry but I am not sure what I want to eat.

I am watching a few episodes of Dark Shadows which is always fun.

I completely missed a good millstone of my own, but like I always say, I never think to watch those things.

I usually only know because someone else mentioned it or captured it.

With alerting people that their millstone is coming up, preserving the millstone, offering congratulations to the person for each millstone, and then the person who has the millstone saying thank you for the congratulations -

That's got to be effective for adding posts and even pages.

And adding pages makes for a happier BK!

Very true :)

In my death cleaning this morning, I found a gift card to the buffet. We figured we'd find out if there was any money left on it.

So, at $30 for two people, we figured that would be our last trip, unless it's for a special occasion. Like a birthday or anniversary.

And if the answer is "They'd throw it away," well, then, you save them the trouble and throw it away yourself.

That's the gist of it, although someone wrote an entire book about it.
