Well I just stopped in for a minute, nothing really to say. I'm just enjoying not having to do anything today. But, it's making me hungry, so I need to figure out what I'm going to eat

I shall be absent from the board for the day (Night). I am driving to a country town (3 hour drive) to see few time HHW poster Beekay (YEP ages ago) in a play "Alphabetical Order".

My high school Spanish teacher was Senora Ginsburg. To this day, I can only understand Spanish if it is spoken with a Jewish Brooklyn accent, which is not very often.

Comr to New York, that's how we speak it here!

I am now showered and shaved and rested and must hie myself to the Land or Port where I will attend a party in honor of my buddy who was recently promoted to Major in the Air Force.

The only field trip that I can think of is one I took in 5th grade. We went to the coast and through the California Redwoods.

The best field trip I remeber is when I was in 10th grade, I took drama class and everyone else in the class was a senior.  We took a field trip to Broadway where we saw Grease.  That was my second Broadway show.  My first was with the public library to see 1776.  It was a trip expected to attract retired ladies, which it did,  teh librarian in charge of the trip had never put an age requirement on the trip and was quite suprised when my 12  or 13 year old self turned up with all these 60 +  ladies.  She kept trying to figure out which one I belonged to.

We had front seat center mezzanine oh what a lovely show it was

Years later when I met WFO I found out that his friend Duane Bodin, who he later introduced me to,  had been in that run .

Funny old world.

Good Afternoon!

Back from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels...  That's one great pit!  And those Harold Wheeler orchestrations are truly top notch.  And even though I could not see anything or anyone on stage, it still was a great way to experience the show.

And now...  Well, like DR Cillaliz, nothing else is really on my schedule this evening.  Actually, I have nothing I have to do until 11:00 Tuesday morning when we start the search for our Lola and Meg.  Hmm...

What to do?  What to do?

OH!

When I checked my voicemail at intermission, I had a message from the contractor for the current tour of Joseph....  It looks like I'll be out with them for a week in mid-October.  Alas, that week will be in DC, but that will be a good thing since I've been looking for a window of time when I would start shifting some things back to Fairfax for the run of Damn Yankees.  Funny how things work out sometimes.

I'm afraid I may be stumped trivia-wise.  May give it another try later in the weekend, but it's driven me plenty batty for now.

Hmm... As DR Ben mentioned earlier, it was indeed a cool weather day here in NYC.  On the news, they said the high was 72.  Funny how 72 can feel "cool".  And the lows tonight in some areas in and around New York could actually dip down to the upper 40s!

And just to make DR MattH feel "better", some tropical humidity is supposed to creep back in here early next week with temps in the low 80s.  At least for one day.

It's a lovely day here in Arizona. It is the first time for a while that it hasn't even hit 100F!

At the half:  Michigan 13, Wisconsin3.  Commentators called it "good old smashmouth Big 10 football."  DH Richard just went out to get burgers for us.

I, too, am hoping the cool weather holds for NYC.  My challenge will be packing for NY at the beginning of the week and Atlanta at the end.

Hi everyone, sorry I've been absent for so long.  I just finished my first week of my internship and am in the middle of my second consecutive weekend of test counselor training at GMHC and I am exhausted!

Saw HAIRSPRAY for the sixth time today.  Actually found it sort of vulgar with the current leads, vulgar in a very funny way, but hardly the family-friendly show that I thought it was the last five times I saw it.  "Timeless to Me" was very very funny, for example, but got kind of dirty, and so lost its emotional power.  I would think twice about recommending this show for family audiences as it's being played right now, still an exciting entertainment, though.

My mother wasn't 100% sure at intermission that the Edna was actually being played by a man, BTW; he was very convincing as a woman, as least to my mom.
