Just got a call from my dentist's office. My hygienist called in sick today, so my appointment is cancelled. I was offered the next available date - in late March.

I slept very poorly last night, and when the alarm rang at 5:30 I decided to sleep in. Thatch and Annabelle liked the idea, so we all cuddled together but I couldn't fall asleep. I dozed and nodded until 6:30, when I decided Genug ist genug.

I did have a strange dream that makes no sense at all: I was in a new cemetary plot, and I and several others were stealing gravestones from other parts of the cemetary so the new plot would not be empty. There was clearly more to the dream but God alone knows what it was.

That is so frustrating and ridiculous. I've run into this several times. You'd think the doctor's office would keep maybe one appointment time open each day for emergencies or situations like this, but no . . .

This weekend on Amazon Prime I tried to watch a BBC sitcom from 1975, Two's Company, starring Elaine Stritch and Donald Sinden. I gave it two episodes and then gave up.

Today's Monday (as opposed to some generic Monday) started off as expected, with me rising but not exactly shining at six in the a.m. to coffee up, get into the armor, and go outside to start the snowblowing. I was done and inside at eight. The rest of the day is errands, paying an extremely ugly bill (aka the property taxes), and working on music.

That doctor's appointment thing happened to me with my ophthalmologist. She was sick or had family business or something. As I recall, the cancelled appointment was in March and the first available date they gave me was August. But that office is always that busy, as I was to discover later when *I* needed to reschedule one. If these postponements hadn't happened, I probably would have had the surgeries several months earlier than I did.
