Fun to read about the first Drat! rehearsal.

I shall be sunny and light.

Wasn't it Steve Bannon who sang "I'm Dreaming of a White Congress" - "May your day be sunny and light, and may all your Senators be white"

Glad to hear the rehearsal went well.  Vibes for a similar second rehearsal today.

We're having an ugly sn*wst*rm tomorrow, but fortunately nothing on Friday which is when I have to be out and about for a gig.

And then for comic relief we're having another ugly sn*wst*rm on Saturday, and fortunately I don't have to be anywhere over the weekend.

And so it goes.

I do, however, have to join the hordes in doing a quick run of panic shopping this afternoon. Just for three or four things, but still, it's a pain. And I think all of you knows just where that pain is.

Last night's semi-regular dinner meeting with director friend was just what the doctor ordered. What with the chaos of the entire Wonderettes rehearsal period and run, the holidays, and then he being down with bronchitis for a while, it had been a good long while since we'd been able to just chat and catch up, with nothing that had to be frantically planned or decided.

We always meet at this very popular and comfortable Danbury jernt called Rosy Tomorrow's. I'd been hankering for some fish and chips, so I had (wait for it) the fish and chips. I don't think I'd had any for over a year. It's a good plate, and the french fries were exceptional, almost like the way french fries used to always be back in the day before fast food ones were so ubiquitous and "predictable". I think the tartar sauce could be a little more adventurous, it seemed a little on the bland side, but that's a minor complaint indeed. We sat there for nearly three hours.

That sounds lovely.  Great that you and he were able to just get together to catch up.

From DR John,

Quote
I could sub for English, journalism, French 101, Spanish 101 and German 101, humanities, and possibly pie making.

This is an impresive list.

DR George, did anyone tell your mother how long it would take for the shot to work?  I have heard of it taking a few days though that could have been for a different shot.

That was fun DR FREDDIE.

I remember Tom Lowell from The Lucy Show - he was Chris' boyfriend - and The Manchurian Candidate.  I think he was the guy who got strangled.....

Fish and chips sound great to me.

I'm ready for more.

Two pieces of fish, and I could have used a third. But LOTS of delicious fries that reminded me of when fries were commonly cooked in beef tallow. I doubt that anyone these days does that without stating it clearly on the menu, but damn, these were satisfying.

Haven't had any in several years, but duck fat fries have become popular in some places.
