Great news about George’s mom. Continued vibes.

Thanks, John!

We got over four inches of snow and there’s sleet and rain on top or maybe mixed in. I’m waiting to see if we can determine that it’s totally done, then a hellish cleanup will commence.

Here in Lacey (at my mom's house), it's raining slush.  Not really rain or snow, but a combo platter.

Nathan doesn't have a musical bone in his body but he loves musicals, and theeder in general. His all time favorite is Sunday in the Park With George and his birthday is coming up, so Kristi and I are surprising him with a local college production of it. This is the place (Western CT State University) that wowed Andy Hammerstein and Ted Chapin with Allegro, and I loved their Marat/Sade almost as much. We'll be there when they're having a talkback, no idea who's participating, but I look forward to that.

I am laundering my outdoor work clothes so they'll be ready for the next disaster, and I must shower and change. I plan on the rest of the day being ME ME ME. Hey, isn't there a basketball game or something on later?

I must do tallies for my 2024 utilities and Spectrum, and I will have finished my 2024 taxes. Now I need that NYPL 1099, dammit!

The youth group at church had a Super Bowl Sunday fundraiser today that included a pulled pork sandwich, chips, soda and cookies. I'm enjoying the sandwich now.

While I worked I listened to the 1979 broadcast of the Metropolitan Opera's Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny. It really is Project 2025, and when Jimmy Mahoney is sentenced to death for being unable to pay for a bottle of whiskey, I thought, OMG Donald Trump is Widow Begbick!

I posted yesterday how those four 1960 horror movies all had nice memories attached.

What I also meant to post, and now shall, was what DR Elmore has reminded us of regarding his participation at the library for the ballet last year. My God, that was a great day, the ballet and the event and all company included. We need more of those.

I think that's a possible dance move for a musical version of the movie "My Old Ass."

DR George it is wonderful how well your mother is doing, and that she is sensible about what she can or cannot do.  It is also great that you have a team of people to stay with her.

I somehow missed the video of Jerusalema that DR Rodzinski posted last night. Yes, it is that fun. I didn’t dance it while holding a plate of food. Oh, the possibilities!

LOL, that plate of food was funny.

What a day you had, DR George. Thrilled that your mom is home and recuperating. I'll bet Henry is glad, too.

Thanks, Singdaw!  Henry is on her bed with her right now. :)

Sweet.

I am done with my part of the SN*W cleanup. It was slow going, but this 4-to-5 incher was oddly a little easier to handle than the 2-inch mess we had the other day. I didn't detect much icy component at all while using the snowblower this time. We do have a couple of bad icy patches on the driveway that we'll be treating later. That and a few other things are Nathan's department. I am done. D-U-N. Done.

You have my sympathy.  I do not miss those days.

Well, I fed the cats and myself. Aropund 1:30 I started feeling peculiar, but I went ahead and prepared our dinners. I fed the cats, sat down to eat, and all hell broke loose. I had to make a walk as fast as I could - which is really slow - to the bathroom and didn't make it in time. I just finished cleaning up the kitchen and bathroom floors and myself. Some days life sucks, really sucks.
