Rodzinski, did you ever post what happened yesterday that made it a bad day?

I didn’t want to dump it all out but there’s some sort of norovirus outbreak at the in-laws’ facility, and dad in law wouldn’t get out of bed, so he got sent to hospital. Then mom in law, who refuses to eat enough real food or drink water, fell last night. Now she’s in the hospital. My own left shoulder blade muscles have been incredibly sore. So those are the main issues.

So, the doctor said to isolate for five days. I don’t need paxlovid. I just need to rest.

I agree about the paxlovid.

Interesting about the isolation period.  I thought it would be five days, IF you feel better.  I am still isolating.  If I lived alone I would wear a mask and go to the market, however, I am not going to the gym and breathing hard without wearing one.  I'll walk outside again today if the weather is decent.

Also, I don't understand this part one and part two of Wicked.

DR Laura, have you seen the movie? In the show you have intermission after "Defying Gravity" so the audience has time to reset. They don't like showing movies with intermissions these days, so if you kept barreling on after "Defying Gravity" who would be really paying attention? Schwartz said they couldn't find a way to get around that issue, so they divided the two acts into two movies. And with that decision, they were then able to go deeper into characters and storylines than the show could.

Also, I don't understand this part one and part two of Wicked.

The movie that's out now (came out Nov. 2024) is "Wicked, Part One."  The movie "Wicked, Part Two: For Good" is announced to be released Nov. 2025.

The Part One movie, even though it's over 2-1/2 hours, ends at the point in the story where the stage musical's Act One ends, with "Defying Gravity." 

And they didn't even add new songs!  What's that all about??

Today, a stop at the pharmacy to pick up a new prescription.

I'm starting on a "statin" (cholesterol meds) - the same as many many friends who have been taking them for years - and frankly I look forward to being on them. Price is right, too - $5.00 - but I don't know yet if that's a 30-day or 90-day supply. We shall see.

I'm sure I've posted this before, but of course I've got a parody lyric about statins - using the meaning of "dolls" from Valley of the Dolls.
