I was supposed to usher for Momix tonight. Ticket sales were lousy, so they don’t need a full corps of volunteers. So, instead I got free tickets and will be going as an audience member.

That sounds great.  How nice of them to do that!

You have to usher 250 times before you get on the free tix list.

Wow.  That's a lot.  We get a voucher for two free tickets (select performances only) after volunteering 40 hours.

DR elmore3003's friend Judith Sherman is working on a new/old Sondheim project, a continuation of Anthony de Mare's Liaisons project:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gCpMcjodu4&t=28s

I've been looking forward to the follow-up!  It's listed on Amazon:

Liaisons II - All Things Bright & Beautiful, Re-imagining Sondheim from the Piano

The only disappointing part is that this is only one disc, and the original was three.  Oh, well.  Still can't wait!

That was quite beautiful! I love Judy; I haven't spoken to her since that possible recording project fell apart in 2022. She stays busy and keeps winning Grammys.

John G., I believe the current Momix touring show is called ALICE, and is based on Alice in Wonderland.

Watched their promo video…very cool!

That's good, and they should have left you a note.

The wind was blowing so hard while I was at my book discussion that we were lucky not to lose power.

I was also very lucky that the wind died down and the rain stopped just before we all walked back to our condos.

Walking this afternoon we found multiple areas were marked off with the yellow do not cross banners due as the ground was filled with fallen branches.

I don't believe I ever went to Pinnacle Peak Patio. That's where the tourists went.

We did, however, start going to Bill Johnson's Big Apple for a while, just before they closed.  My DH would always order steak and eggs when we went out for breakfast, and he'd always complain about the steak. So I took him to Bill Johnson's, which was kind of an ordinary people kind of place. He was happy.

I mean, really, don't order a steak at Denny's and expect anything good.

As far as chains go, I've been very pleased by the steak at the Times Square Red Lobster.

As much of a fan I've been of McDonald's, their steak and eggs bagel has gotten two tries from me, and I don't think I'm going to try it again.
