We did, however, start going to Bill Johnson's Big Apple for a while, just before they closed.  My DH would always order steak and eggs when we went out for breakfast, and he'd always complain about the steak. So I took him to Bill Johnson's, which was kind of an ordinary people kind of place. He was happy.

Too bad it closed so soon after you began going there.

I mean, really, don't order a steak at Denny's and expect anything good.

;D  I never expect anything good there.

DR Jeanne I wonder if this was the gel your eye doctor mentioned.

"Lacrifill is a gel-based treatment injected into the tear duct, offering a potential advantage over traditional solid plugs by minimizing irritation and discomfort, while also being less prone to accidental expulsion from the eye; whereas eye plugs are small, solid devices inserted into the tear duct opening, which can sometimes cause irritation or fall out easily."

One last La sonnambula review has arrived, but this is a big one. Instead of a long-time blogger, it's from San Francisco Classical Voice. They're the main source for classical music reviews in the San Francisco Bay area since the Chronicle's critic, Joshua Kosman, retired:

There were two instances where we lost power for a week, both caused by hurricane damage. Those were the longest , but there have been occasional hours long or days long outages caused by hurricanes, blizzards or once a transformer explosion across the street

We keep battery operated lanterns on all floors of the house and we bought small generator than we can keep the refrigerator running now.

I’d like to know the make of that generator.

I’ll have to ask Vixdad. It’s very noisy though and runs on gasoline so it’s outside

Well not now, now it’s in the garage. It’s only outside when it’s in use
