Warning -  This post may contain Brigadoon song title rewrite in questionable taste for a Sugar Babies/Brigadoon mash-up.

Wan't there an adult entertainment version of "There But for You Go I" which went  "There for Your Butt Go I" -as sung by whatever's found under the kilt, along with "Come for Me, Bend for Me."  Also, the chorus men singing "I'll go home to bond with Gene."

My new doctor is very nice.  He is from Nigeria.  He looks like Wayne Brady from Let's Make A Deal.....

He also gave me a pneumonia vaccine shot since my last one was almost two years ago.

We shall how I feel as the afternoon goes on.

I'm glad you like him.  Did you receive Prevnar 20?  Do you know what your last one was?

I enjoyed your report on Shadow of a Doubt, DR ChasSmith.  It's one of my favorite films and I've seen it multiple times.

And then there was this:

Texas records first death from measles outbreak:
Quote
Feb. 25 (UPI) -- The first measles death in the United States in a decade was announced Wednesday in Texas as an outbreak in that state's panhandle spread to New Mexico and other portions of the country, health officials said.

The death was of an unvaccinated school-aged child in Lubbock, Texas, Zack Holbrooks, public health director of the South Plains Health District, said, according to USA Today. The child was hospitalized at the time of death.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it was the first measles death in the United States since 2015. So far, 124 people have been confirmed with the disease during the outbreak and 18 have been hospitalized.

:(

So very sad and so very unnecessary  :'(

Very sad about the measles death. If adults want to die from preventable diseases, I'm ok with that. But the kids have no choice in this.

There was a case of measles at my kids' elementary school, right after they left there and started junior high. I was a volunteer at the school, still. The school nurse said everyone who came on campus had to prove they were up to date on immunizations. That even included the guy who filled the faculty room coke machine.

I explained this to my physician's receptionist. They had me come in and gave me the shot right away. They didn't even bill me for it.

For a few years after that, the junior high school nurse didn't have to keep nagging parents about immunizations. The kids were caught up from elementary school.

Waiting for me was the book galley and covers - all perfect first time out, all approved. They'll send me the sign-off forms and it will go to the printer for test books, and then I can order. Very happy with how quick this all happened this time.

I know how we could save a lot of money?

How about canceling the free health care for life that senators and representatives get for free after 5 years on the job?

Wow, things sure have changed :(  Were you vaccinated when you were young?  I had measles before the vaccination was available.  That was nice of your doctor not to charge you.

When Bryan went to medical school proof of vaccinations wasn't enough.  He had to titer for all of the main childhood diseases.

I read the comments under a Reuter's report on the measles outbreak.  One person said she will be traveling to Texas on vacation and her doctor ordered a titer to determine if she still has antibodies against it.  She didn't say if she had measles or was vaccinated.

DR John I know you are not all that close to the outbreak, still, that is food for thought.

There are cases reported in San Antonio. It's not far at all.
