Well, you've read the notes, the notes were anemic, and now it is time for you to post until the anemic cows come home.

So last night, I decided to finally install at least one of the two new smoke/carbon monoxide detectors that I got from Costco last month.  There are wires coming out of the ceiling to hook up the detectors, and wired adaptors were included in the package, depending on what one might need.

Anyway, one of the adaptors looked like it would fit the wired thing coming out of my ceiling and it did fit, but it wouldn't stay connected.  There was no locking mechanism to keep them together, which I thought that there should be. :-\ Anyway, I noticed that the light was out in my TV room just on the other side of the short hall from where I was trying to install the detector, and I can only guess that a fuse or something blew and those lights, the ceiling fan in that room, and an outlet in the hall all have lost power.  My wi-fi router/modem is plugged into a power outlet in that room and that doesn't work, either, so my computer up in my bedroom couldn't get on the internet!

The only thing I did was to connect the adapter to the thing coming out of the ceiling!  I don't know what else could've happened to have caused this.  So, I turned off my computer up in my bedroom (no power loss there), then turned off ALL the breakers in the breaker panel, turned them all back on, and all those lights and power outlets STILL don't work!  I'm not sure what I need to do, yet.  That's what I was trying to deal with last night.  It was all QUITE frustrating! :P

I slept very well, with Thatch cuddled up under blankets right next to me. Annabelle joined us around 5:00 to get nder the blankets as well. Last night the temperatures dropped and it made sleeping much easier.

About an hour after yesterday's teacart mess, I was very ill, and this morning I must do laundry, just the way I wanted to spend my morning.

I did not watch the Oscars; I haven't seen any recent films - although I would like to see Wicked, Sing-Sing, and Conclave. After I cleaned up the mess my bout caused, I finished reading Classified as Murder, the second Cat in the Stacks mystery, and then I watched on PBS the Great Performances broadcast of the AARP movies for grownups awards, hosted by Alan Cummings, whose charms wear out quickly.

Today, while I do the laundry, I will begin the third Cat in the Stacks mystery, File M for Murder, which always makes me think of BK. I'm on a roll

I ended up falling asleep on the couch while the red carpet thing was on, and I kept waking groggily and falling back into sleep throughout the show. I hate the grog because it’s so hard to snap out of. But I was exhausted from the last few days.

Hi Michael!

Did you ever find out what was on in prime time on the West coast right after the Oscars?

I stopped watching the Oscars live years ago. I don’t have the patience to watch it live. I tape it and watch select moments and fast forward through most of it just to see who won. Don’t listen to any of the acceptance speeches.

I thought Conan Appearing out of Demi Moore was smart and funny idea.

On the east coast was American Idol rerun which I didn’t watch. Did the west coast have more I hope someone will chime in

What little bits I saw, thinking I was awake enough to get what was going on, were the usual things that were supposed to be funny, and were anything but. And there seemed to be quite the display of plastic surgery on parade, which might have been partly my half-dream state but I assume it was inspired by something. The longest bit I was awake for was Adrien Brody who would not shut up and they had to play him off a second time. Someone else earlier was going on like that, a woman, I think, don’t know who. Sorry, can’t stand it.

Oh! Wait! The “In Memoriam”!

I saw it. The entire sequence was just possibly the best that one of these has ever been done, on any show, ever. Now I must find a clip online to see if I dreamed it.
