I'm sorry to read that THE RECRUIT, which has been one of my favorite streaming series so far, with some of the most interesting characters I'd seen in this type of show, was canceled yesterday after just two seasons.   (Apparently, even though their ratings for season 2 were good, they were too big of a drop from season 1.).

Hoping some other outlet picks up THE RECRUIT, or that there's some resolution in some form (one-time movie, maybe in print) for what the creative folks wanted to happen with the characters.

Darn.  We just starting watching it and so far are enjoying the show.

I guess a lemon is a berry, too?

Jane, I can put it up on Barnes and Noble, if I can remember how.

Thanks.  I remember you couldn't do it before.  If not, I will buy it on Kindle today, before the black out.

For awhile now I have been complaining the Kindle seems to have an eBook monopoly on some books.  Doing a bit of research they all seem to be from small publishing houses.  Still, it surprises me as some of these authors are best sellers.

I've seenFacebook pages on several of these authors and will go there to complain.

I've been reading up a bit more.  Seems also speculation that THE RECRUIT may have been extremely expensive as streaming shows go.  Maybe so many foreign locations?

I was already purchasing fewer books on Kindle only making exceptions for books I really wanted to read.  Now I might stop reading those authors :(

Prior to the boycotts we had already greatly reduced our Amazon shopping.  Now we are trying to complety avoid it.

For the six books I self-published from 2013 to 2018, I found Amazon's Createspace to be particularly easy to use.  I wonder if that ease of use makes people use Amazon.

The two script books of LAST STARFIGHTER (one the age 12 and up version, the other the all-ages version), that were published by YouthPLAYS, used Amazon.

Cherries aren't berries - they're stone fruit like apricots, plums, and peaches. If we had a stone fruit TOD, cherries would be #1 for me.

The rain hast stopped and the sun shineth

We are praying for rain here. Other than .03 inches last month, it hasn't rained since August.

I never met a berry I didn't like.

Sadly, I have. Strawberries lately don’t taste like strawberries anymore. We used to go pick strawberries on Memorial Day every year when I was growing up. The flavor was incredible. When I was tiny, I ate more than I picked. I wonder how much spray I ingested.

I agree. Strawberries have no flavor any more. I don't bother with them.

Likely, and understandable for self published books.  My issue is with popular sellers that I can only get the eBook through Kindle.  If the library has it, it is only an audio book (I'm not tracking hardcovers).

I agree. Keith buys them but I rarely eat them.
