TOD: No love for Wrigley's wintergreen gum? That was my favorite. I can't remember my favorite bubble gum, though. I know Bazooka was OK, and the gum that came with Topps baseball cards was really bad.

I love wintergreen, it's my favorite of the mint flavors going all the way to Life Savers and "Wint-O-Green". Sadly, I don't recall it as a gum flavor.

5 gum has a great flavor called RPM that I’m all about. Canada doesn’t sell it, only the U.S.

Not a good time to be antagonizing the French. We’re off to Paris on Friday. Mrs R has ordered us clothing with maple leafs and “Canada” conspicuous. Sad but true.

Have a wonderful time.  Our friends who just returned from traveling returned our Canadian pins that we will be taking with us on our upcoming trip.

DR John, your deep dish apple pie looks amazing!

It tastes great, too. But I learned one thing the hard way, to pardon a pun. The apples on sale yesterday were evercrisp. They don’t soften much when baking, or so I now know. And yes, the pie is crisp. Soft enough to cut a bite with my fork, but the texture is on the toothsome side of things.

And the pie crust tastes great. I will have to experiment with it again. It is different in that it calls for both butter and cream cheese.
