There are two new nonfiction books out called Careless People. One is a biography of the book, The Great Gatsby. The other is about the people who run Facebook.

Very interesting.

Two nice songs from Love Life.

Thanks for that link, John G!

It's tough listening to not have the mind slip and wander to the famous Lerner and Loewe "I Remember It Well."  I wonder if it's hard for the singers.

We met with a financial planner today. He crunched the numbers and told us: "My advice to you today is: work as long as you possibly can. And start saving more."

Duly noted.

I didn't get the memo. ::)

Brian Stokes Mitchell sounds great, not that Kate Baldwin doesn’t.

And Sondheim also wrote a song in a similar vein called, "I Remember That."

The guard bird just alerted me to an intruder out back. Turned out to be a mother possum with five or six babies squirming around her back. Truly odd sight.

Wow. Almost an hour inyo Hard Truths. It’s painful. Amazing performance from Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

Consider the possums. How they neither toil nor spin.

I’m starting Gladiator 2. I need something light after Hard Truths. So Rated R for “bloody violence“ should be a picnic after all that emotional and psychological violence.

Gladiator 2 begins with a subtitle: Only the hopes of those who dare to dream still remain.

Silliness ahead.
