Split Pea (hot) and Gazpacho (cold) are my favorites.

A local chef shared that idea with me.

Annabelle woke up an hour early from her afternoon nap, vomited, and now she wants to be held. I think Stella is having bladder leaks; I went to pick up a magazine she's been sleeping on, and half of the back cover is stuck to the floor.

My life is too full.

A Very Happy Birthday to Fellow Washingtonian, DR Rodzinski!! :D

Thank you! I have comfort in being among the HHWashington squad.

I like having you here.  One day I hope to get back up your way and meet again in person.

You and Keith simply must come up for a visit sometime. And who doesn’t enjoy Vancouver, BC?

The last time we were there was in May, 2019.  I would like to go again.  We stayed two night near the airport and took the train into the city for one full day.  We had a very early dinner at Cardero's on the water with a beautiful view.

Rodzinski, two questions.  Who is with your MIL, and how is your FIL doing?

NO MORE FALLING VIBES FOR YOUR MIL!

She is an an independent living facility but pays for help with things like getting dressed.  FIL is testing as diabetic and they are keeping him to adjust his medication.

It must be a comfort to know that someone will be checking on her.

A couple of texts from the computer guy.  They are doing a virus scan and adding an ad blocker.....hopefully I'll get it back this afternoon.

Fingers crossed you get it back today.

There’s a Thai restaurant nearby that does a fresh cabbage soup with so much more in it. Yes, it has the holy trinity of cooking — celery, carrot and onion — plus shrimp, squid and chicken, all in a vegetable broth with plenty of cabbage and ginger in it. You can get a vegetarian version with tofu, but it crumbles.

Still, I would rather have crumbled tofu than shrimp or squid ;D

Bruce and Jeanne, did you ever get the chicken gumbo soup at Webster's?  Keith loved it.

I'm not keen on chicken in soup either though I have eaten it.  My mother made the best matzo ball soup because she used turkey instead of chicken.  My matzo ball soup, which I haven't made since leaving Ashland, was made with a veggie base.

I did not in fact have Chunky, but some leftover ground beef to which I added cheddar and an avocado half.

Seafood soups, such as bouillabaisse or lobster bisque, are a real favorite. Clam chowders of all sorts and spicy Chinese seafood soup are always welcome.

I do like a New England clam chowder but not Manhattan.

I think it would improve the taste of cold soup ;D

Mom used to make cream of wheat ball soup, which was like matzoh ball. Delish.
