Yesterday it was in the high 70's before the wind blew in ahead of the storm that never really happened.  Today our expected high is 52 degrees.

I have one thing to say.

I've now played through my first two dress rehearsals of SpongeBob, and I have yet to pick up one shred of an iota or a glimmer of an idea of what it's about.

Okay, my back is to the stage, so no visual eye candy to entertain and inform. They have a lovely set, and from what I hear, these damned middle-schoolers have it DOWN. But I still don't know what's going on.

Gee, maybe I should go read a synopsis or something. What a radical idea.

We're back from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and resting up before dinner with a local music notation buddy and then seeing Cécile McLorin Salvant at Carnegie Hall.

Yesterday's pre-show activity was lunch at Russ & Daughters Cafe, followed by a tour at the Tenement Museum.

My paternal great-grandparents lived in the building that is now the Tenement Museum's office back in 1890. Our tour was in the neighboring building.
