Sounds like my reaction to flying in a glass-bottom helicopter, and we could see Chicago and environs beneath us. I did that once in the early 1990s, decided never to do that again.

Ooh, that would be tough. The Tour Eiffel has now a glass floor you can walk on. I can’t even watch other people walk on that.

On Friday my friends Kerry from England and Lori from Florida flew into NYC.

I took the train in right after work and arrived first , and checked into our hotel

Lori showed up around midnight and after a nice catch-up we all went to sleep

Saturday morning we went down to Flippers for the Japanese soufflé pancakes

Then we headed up to the Cloisters where we spent a lovely few hours exploring the rooms and admiring the artworks

After dinner it was off to Roosevelt Island via the tram where we enjoyed the views from the 18th floor Panorama Room

Sunday morning we traveled out to Brooklyn and met a musician friend and his son for breakfast

Then we met up with three other friends to go thrifting at a huge vintage thrift shop

Afterwards we went to the bone museum, a very interesting place full of skeletons, skulls and a wall of spines

Then we headed over to the newish Williamsburg Veselka location

We were a bit disappointed as it was not as good as the one in the East Village

Then the other three headed back to their homes and we three went back to our hotel to freshen up

Then we ubered out to a ridge wood where we met our musician friend again ( this time sans son) at a club where a friend of his was performing
