Last night, after the late dinner with my friend David, I headed south, but wanted to stop at the Lacey Walmart to use the bathroom, but it was closed! I thought it was open 24 hours, but it's not. So, I went to WinCo, which was only a couple of miles away, and while the store was open, their bathroom was closed!

Fortunately, it wasn't an emergency, so I did a little shopping then went home.

Today, I need to get up and leave by 9:45 so that a couple of us can rent a truck to bring our set, costumes and all other stuff back to our storage unit. Then, we're done until August!

I had a most curious and unsatisfying night of sleep. There aren't enough drugs in this apartment to kill the pains and neuropathy in my legs, and I do worry that some night I will overdose. So, ;ast night around 2:00a.m. I woke to hear the ghastliest sounds of congestion coming from Annabelle, who was sleeping next to me. It's her nose, I thought it's clogged.

So I moved Thatch, who was sleeping pon the other side of me, got up, dug through my night table's utility items drawer, got a cotton ball, wetted it with the bottle of water on the night table, picked up a fighting Annabelle, and wrestled wioth her while I tried top clean her nose.

All it did was piss her off and frustrate me. As soon as she could break free, she ran off, followed by Thatch. I went back to bed, angry with myself and worried about her: what if she had pneumonia? what if I woke to find her dead? After maybe twenty-thirty minutes of fretting, Thatch leaped - he's a very energetic and enthusiastic bed jumper - back into bed with me and settled down. Shortly after, Annabelle jumped onto the bed, returned to her pillow, and settled down next to me. She stayed with me all night. I mosdtly dozed and nodded for the next three or so hours until the alarm rang. Her breathing was quiet the rest of the night, and she seems to have forgiven me.

I love my new cart, but it has one problem: the brakes on the wheels keep sliding on, no matter how many times I crawl around on the floor and release them. So, thins morning after kitty cleanup and making the bed, I will empty the cart, turn it over, and glue the break releases into an off position so I can push rhe damned thing easily.

DR ChasSmith, I haven't been to Zabar's in over five years now, but I believe their takeout room does have a few tables. When I used to stop in on my way to the subway and Toyland, I paid little attentioon to the space, focusing instead of what sandwich I wanted.

I do miss Artie's, especially when I'm in the mood for pastrami on rye.

So, yes, today is the last round of the auditions from HELL. I believe they're just about able to cast MERMAID with what they have so far, and they'll be hearing a few more people today who are possibles for EVITA. We shall see, we shall see...
