I had a terrible night. Several months ago, I told my doctor that I was waking in the middle of the night with my left hand completely numb. She said it was a pinched nerve. Last night, just before 2:00, I woke with a numb left hand that quickly became so painful that I could barely stand it. Since I had figured the nerve was activated by a sleeping position, I shifted pillows and my body about while Stella and Thatch hovered about and offered sympathy. So, for the next four houres I had to endure too little sleep and too much pain.
