I have (or had) a couple records in shrinkwrap with Korvette’s stickers on them.

Sadly, I never knew Korvette's, but I have a couple of records with their price stickers, too. I even think they're a couple of prized classical recordings. They stocked the good stuff. Wish I had known the store.

DR FREDDIE I think the Sherman Bros. joked with Annette that her next two albums would be Kitchenette and Bassinette.

How can one choose from so vast a decade?

The first thing that came to my mind was “Our Winter Love” by Bill Pursell. (Or the Lettermen if you want such luxuries as lyrics).

The video tie-in for "Kitchenette" could have included that big closet full of peanut butter from BACK TO THE BEACH.

In the 1970s, we were very near a Korvettes store with a great record department, and I recall buying a lot of LPs at Korvettes once we moved to Luna Park.

Korvette's! I can remember clear as day when I picked up my first two Don Ellis albums at our local store. Though that was the 1970s vs the 1960s.

TOD: Sorry, this is just too broad a question for me. There was so much going on then, I can't choose! Narrowing by genre or year would help me focus.

Don Ellis! Underrated.

Thank goodness all his recordings finally made the transition to CD. There's a great Facebook group for Don moderated by one of the folks who has done so much to keep his legacy alive with the CDs and critical editions.

If you have time, post them all :) - or as much as you have time for.

BK certainly won't mind if you fill up a few pages with them!

The TOD is difficult for me, too.

But I guess I shall just post a few high points:

Lesley Gore - It's My Party

The Beatles - She Loves You, etc. right through Magical Mystery Tour.

Petula Clark - Downtown

The Animals - House of the Rising Sun

Chad & Jeremy and Peter & Gordon

Many Broadway & movie songs already mentioned....but POP music was what I was buying in the 1960's.

I did buy and love the OBC of HAIR - although I liked the Cowsills' version as well.
