Michael Clayton is a satisfying film for sure. Clooney at his best.

Another vote for Annie Hall over Manhattan. Manhattan was originally on our 70s film class syllabus but got bumped for last night's Godfather Part II scenes, in part because of the age factor.

Michael Clayton has been in my downloads since it's currently either on Amazon Prime or Netflix, I forget which. I've never seen it so I should watch it soon.

Gorgeous day here. Tomorrow will be a one-off, shooting up to 80+ degrees on the Fahrenheit scale, then Sunday will be more like today. No time to get busy working out there today, but that can begin over the weekend.

I'm told we have a light crowd tonight - of course, I've been told that before only to have a nice-sized crowd. I do think people are nervous about money right now.

At a winery called Hawk’s Shadow. It is in the middle of nowhere, but there’s a crowd definitely enjoying themselves.

It is 11:14pm and the alarm is set for 5:00am.  We are returning to Istanbul for the night.

It's such a big issue right now.

Do you mean the theater is worried about money, or that potential audiences are worried about money to buy tickets?

Audiences. We're not NY, where there are tons of theater types who sell out eight performances of Smile - although I really don't believe they have. I also had to laugh out loud at their latest "the reviews are out!" post - in which there is ONE review, broken into about eight separate quotes. And one other from their pal Ron Fassler - not a real reviewer - would be like me quoting Robert Yacko loving our show and attributing it to his website.

Had Pad Thai for food - hadn't had it in a long time. Very good, but could not finish it.

Had to mail some stuff for work so I figured it was a good time to post some records for sale on a Facebook group.

I’m an hour early. Traffic and the drive were lovely. Enjoying the third or fourth best space in the parking lot.

Listening to a live performance recording of Stokowski conducting Bartok’s Miraculous Mandarin Suite, the first piece I ever played in an orchestra. Loved it then, love it now. In keeping with BK’s current listening, however, I can tell you I like Ormandy’s better. Solti’s, too. I just wish I had a recording of our own concert.

This is with the American Symphony Orchestra in Carnegie Hall, December 1969. I like a lot of Stokowski, but there was too much in this piece I didn’t so much.

I'll shave in about fifteen minutes, then shower, then mosey on over to the theater - get everyone in the right energy, then see if I know anyone there, then either watch the show or leave.
