Tonight, I played cards at my mom's and, as usual, I didn't win. ::)

We played two games and my friend Shelly (who is playing with us once in a while now) won a game, and this other woman, Dee (not my sister Diane, aka DeeDee) won the other game.

We chatted and ate Cheez-Its and mini custard eclairs and had a pretty good time.

After we finished and went to our respective homes, I went shopping for my sister, the aforementioned Diane, aka DeeDee.

We're all going to her house on Sunday to celebrate both Easter (non-secularly, of course) and her daughter's birthday.

My niece's actual birthday was yesterday, but the family is all getting together on Sunday so we'll have more time.

I did some shopping for my sister tonight, and one of the things that she wanted was some milk.

She didn't need a lot, but I got a whole gallon (she okayed it) and then I'll take whatever she doesn't need, since I need some more milk anyway, and it'll be kind of a payment for going shopping for her in the first place. :)

HOWEVER, when I left the store and got back to her house, she asked, "Milk?"

I rushed back and they had the gallon of milk waiting for the purchaser (me ::) ) to return and get it.

So, we had about half a house - I decided to watch act one from row four rather than my usual back row seat.

Fortunately, I got it at Fred Meyer which is only about five minutes away from her house.

The audience was fairly quiet, laughs-wise - applause was hearty. So, I planned to leave at intermission.

But about ten minutes in, they came alive and really got into the show, so I stayed for all of it. It's a whole different experience from row four - much more involving.

DR Jrand74, was this your first watch of A Room with a View? It remains one of my all-time favorite movies. I think it may have been the first Merchant-Ivory film I ever saw.

It's one of my and my sister's favorite movies, too!
