I am now going to watch Solomon & Sheba on ScreenPix......I wish Tyrone Power had survived the filming and was the star instead of Mr Brynner - who is okay - but he ain't no Ty Power.

Interesting and quite encouraging rehearsal update in last night's posts, George!

Thanks, Freddie!

Indeed.....like a turtle.

I wondered if my post about my family might have put a damper on things. Just in case that was it, I took down that post.

Well, our leading lady is sick - a cold, like our leading man had two weeks ago. She didn't get it from him as I think it would have hit her sooner. She had a lot of family in last weekend and you know how that goes. Anyway, she's taking her Sambucol and she thinks she'll be okay to get through the shows this weekend. Sunday is now completely sold out.

We saw with Jane and Keith that international wellness vibes might not be that reliable,

but across-the-country HHW wellness vibes should have some effect.

For those who found the TV show HEE HAW either a guilty pleasure or maybe even just a comedy pleasure - sad news.

Lulu could be pretty funny!

My parents were fans of the show.....because they were fans of Buck Owens and Roy Clark.

It looked good in color!

This is really a good season of The Amazing Race.

I like all of the teams that are left - except one.

Wikipedia tells us that the very well-received (and 9-time-Tony nominated) musical SHUCKED partially derived from a HEE HAW musical.  SHUCKED even has a character named Lulu.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shucked

"Shucked was partially derived from one of [Robert] Horn's earlier projects, 2015's Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical. Sources seem to differ on whether Shucked should be considered an evolution of or completely separate from Moonshine, as the only elements remaining from the 2015 show are two songs and that one character is named Lulu."

Did DR CHAS SMITH say he had TWO rehearsals today?

And that yesterday he accepted another gig?

He's gonna be rolling in dough.

Side note re HEE HAW and SHUCKED:

"Lulu" in the Broadway musical SHUCKED was played by Alex Newell, who won the Tony for that role.
